Indulgence at the 2007 Castro Street Fair.
Please help to have
a permanent plaque
installed at
Jane Warner Plaza
Posted August 1, 2011
On May 8, 2010 our community lost one of our most cherished and dedicated members, Officer Jane Warner, after a short battle with ovarian cancer. Jane was an 18-year veteran neighborhood police officer in the Castro, Noe Valley, and Mission neighborhoods. For more than a decade Jane was also a member of the Castro Street Fair Board of Directors. She was a trusted colleague and dear friend, and her dedication to the Fair was an inspiration to everyone who worked with her.
Thanks to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors the plaza at 17th and Market Streets now bears her name. In her memory; the San Francisco Patrol Special Police have set up a fund to collect donations towards the creation of a permanent plaque to be installed at Jane Warner Plaza. At the time of this posting, more than $4,000 ha s been raised towards the $7,000 that is needed. Please help honor dedication to the community with your contribution to the fund. Contributions may be mailed to the SF Police Credit Union, P.O. Box 22219, SF, California 94122-0219. Checks should be made payable to the: "Officer Jane Warner Memorial Fund."
